Unik Adv, LLC complies fully with the GDPR obligations.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on 25th May 2018. The GDPR aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and will replace the European Privacy Directive and national legislations accordingly.
Its objective is to harmonize data protection law framework across the EU. GDPR imposes obligations on companies that control or process personal data on EU citizens.
Unik Adv, LLC welcomes the arrival of the GDPR. The success of our company builds on the trust that our customers, employees and other stakeholders have in our ability to deliver premier quality data. This includes our ability to apply a high level of data protection and security in relation to personal data that our customers, employees and third parties entrust to us.
Unik Adv, LLC considers it not just its duty to comply with national and international data protection regulations, but also to do this by applying the same standards, processes and procedures throughout our footprint in a cohesive and comprehensive manner. This allows Unik Adv, LLC to deliver the transparency, predictability and consistency that our stakeholders continue to expect from us.
Physical and environmental security
As a trusted service provider of email marketing, including housing an ever-growing data file of email and postal records, we are fully focused on data security. This includes physical access controls, logical access controls, system controls and network security controls.
No processing of EU customer personal data
The whole point of the GDPR is to protect data belonging to EU citizens and residents. We do not process personal data of European Union citizens. We will, from time to time, engage with data partners who market to EU citizens, as part of an overall marketing initiative, for example; in those instances, our partner(s)’s GDPR compliance policy will determine adherence.
Data protection and security
For security purposes we have a legitimate interest as a Data controller in the processing of the personal data of our email subscribers. Each and every email record is required to have a date and time stamp of the moment the address holder opted in to receive marketing materials.

As we have already implemented a consistent level of data protection and security in our datafile—and are fully Can-Spam and CCPA Compliant (see our CCPA FAQ page here).
